    Thermaltake has released information about their latest computer case designed in conjunction with BMW DesignWorks.  It’s got room for three optical drives, six hot-swappable SATA drives, and each modular component has its own cooling. Check out Maximum PC, they got their hands on one and has it unboxed.  Oh, I should mention that it’ll cost you around $700 USD…

    I think this is one of the most detailed mods that I’ve ever seen.  This project took 18 days from this Russian guy to accomplish. A solid-metal Wall-E computer case, each detail carefully cut from the metal sheets processed and put in place.

    Check out the pictures from the many steps taken to complete this impressive piece of work.

    The giant rack of vacuum tubes is being taken out of storage at Wolverhampton University where it has been gathering dust since 1973. The amazing thing is that, until then, the Harwell – or the WITCH (Wolverhampton Instrument for Teaching Computing from Harwell) as it was known at the time – was still being used to teach computing science to students. Its new home will be at the National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) at Bletchley Park, wartime home of the Enigma Machine codebreakers.

    The machine was designed in 1949 and was intended to take some of the slog out of scientific calculations. If they can get the funding, they plan to rebuild this ancient machine and bring it back to life.
